This weekend in Hollywood news... The juiciest confirmed gossip is that Tom Cruise is dating actress Katie Holmes. - Kinda creepy isn't it? Holmes who was previously engaged to American Pie hotie- Kevin Cline is 16 years younger than Cruise. Both were seen is Rome, where Cruise received a lifetime achievement award at the David di Donatello Awards, the Italian equivalent of the United States' Oscars.

Cruise, 42, wouldn't divulge how he met the 26-year-old Holmes, but said it was "like a dream" to have her with him for the awards ceremony.

"She's such an extraordinary woman," said Cruise. "It's beautiful. I feel really happy. I'm more than enamored." The interview was to air Friday night. | source: MSNBC

Someone who probably is very happy is new mom Julia Roberts. Roberts has listed as number one in the '50 Most Beautiful People' from People magazine. It is the actress' record ninth time on the list, a feat mirrored only by Halle Berry, who of course is also in the issue.

"Now that she has the babies, she has reached her peak of beauty," says Julia Roberts's friend and makeup artist Genevieve. "She is satisfied and content. All of that shows. It shows through the makeup, through the pictures. Being a mom has changed her whole life." And the 37-year-old actress has adopted a no-fuss approach to beauty.
