Obama's surprise

Some source tell that Barack Obama delighted and electrified Democrats with a surprise visit on the third day of their national convention - one painted with a remarkable display of unity.
Barack Obama's unexpected star turn came at the end of a night in which party delegates got a full helping of passionate calls to action, red-meat attacks on the opposition and peace gestures between previous rivals.

On a night of high drama, Democrats said the show was unbeatable.

"It's an amazing night," said Kathy Keithly, a Southern California delegate who watched from the floor with tears streaming down her face as Clinton urged Obama's nomination. "We're all coming together."

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco - with a smile and barely allowing for any no votes to be shouted - announced Obama as the official party nominee. That sent the convention hall into a frenzy as delegates broke into dancing to the sounds of "Love Train."

Democrats said the Clintons deserved credit for healing the wounds and putting the party on a path looking forward.

Former California Gov. Gray Davis, an early Clinton supporter, said she "ran a great campaign and she was my choice. But now we have a great choice, Barack Obama, and there's too much at stake for American to make the wrong choice."

Cut taxes, end oil dependence

Sophie Charlene Akland Monk was born on December 14, 1979. She is an Australian pop singer, actress and occasional model. She started dating Benji Madden in 2006, but in January 2008, media outlets reported that and the couple had split up. Monk has returned to Australia alone, almost a year to the day since Madden proposed. In response to recent rumors that the couple had broken up, Good Charlotte's rep tells Us Weekly: "Benji Madden and Sophie Monk are together and very happy." However, on February 12, 2008 it was officially announced by Monk's Sydney agent, Yoon Kim, that "Sophie and Benji have officially split. The decision was mutual and they remain amicable."

She has recently been seen in public with Ryan Seacrest. Her Ex-Fiancé Benji Is now engaged to socialite Paris Hilton.

Minnillo is fluent in English and has passing knowledge of two languages spoken in the Philippines: Kapampangan and Tagalog. She has a close relationship with her stepmother Donna Minnillo and brother Vincent, but is estranged from her mother.

Noelia Lorenzo Monge was on born August 31, 1977 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, mostly known as Noelia, is a Puerto Rican pop singer who rose to fame in 1999. She is the first daughter of Puerto Rican singer Yolandita Monge and Alfredo Lorenzo.
Her self-titled debut album was certified as a gold album in the United States for 500,000 units sold. During her career she has had nine Latin Billboard Top 40 hits.

In June 2007, a hot video tape of Noelia and former boyfriend Yamil started circulating on the Internet, which caused a media hype around her person. In August of 2007, Noelia accused her step-father and former manager, Topy Mamery, of s3xually assaulting her back in 2003; she claimed to have filed a lawsuit, calling singer Ricardo Montaner as a witness. However, Mamery says he has not received any lawsuit, and Montaner says he has never been called to testify. In February of 2008, Noelia's lawyer decided to quit representing Noelia in the defamation lawsuit against her. In May of 2008, the judge José A. Fusté did an annotation of defiance to the singer Noelia and to his partner and manager, Jorge Reynoso, in favor of the petition presented by Mamery, who sued the couple for defamation for declaring knowingly that it is false that he sexually assaulted Noelia. However, on June 13, 2008, Fusté dismissed the case by declaring that there was no defamation and libel since Mamery is a public figure. Fusté concluded that "although it is true there might be some indication that Reynoso could be connected to the website where the video was sold, the court could not say for sure if he was the one that put it. Fusté also reprimanded both sides for airing publicly their personal issues.
