Comedian Kevin Hart will join the cast of Modern Family in a guest-starring role. Hart will play the new neighbor Andre --- a physician. Modern Family is an ABC show based on the fictional Pritchett family, which is composed of three distinct “modern” families.
The show received the 2011 Emmy for “Outstanding Comedy Series.” The show is so popular that even President Barack Obama was quoted saying: “Michelle and the girls love them some Modern Family.”
Hart is not unfamiliar with acting and television roles. His recent movie, Laugh at My Pain, is based on his national tour and his hometown of Philadelphia. The movie did remarkably well at the box office, grossing $2 million dollars. The 32-year-old comedian has hosted BET and MTV award shows, and has recorded stand-up specials for Comedy Central.
Hart’s other movie credits include Krod Mondoon, Flaming Sword of Fire, Death at a Funeral, and Epic Movie.
