Mel Gibson voluntarily offered his support to Michael Richards after he had to deal with the fallout after he screamed "nigger" several times during a set at an LA comedy club last week.Why this compassion? Maybe Gibson has flashbacks of his racist comments directed at "Jews" and now knows how it feels to be put down by the media.
"I felt like sending Michael Richards a note. I feel really badly for the guy. He was obviously in a state of stress. You don't need to be inebriated to be bent out of shape. But my heart went out to the guy... I like him."
